  • CMA Fest

    I will not be at the CMA Fest this year. (2009)

    Last year (2008) we were there and had a great time. Carrie's Fan Club Party was awesome. The people we met were wonderful. We made several new friends that we still keep up with and had a great time with friends we knew.

    Why not this year? two things. My surgery and Cost.

    I hope 2010 will treat all of us better.

    I hope everyone that can go will have the time of their lives.

  • Sugarland Concert.

    Sugarland was amazing. They had the crowd standing the entire concert. (Minnesota crowds are primarily sit down and no involvement). It was obvious that they had given instructions to security. Security was just there and didn’t bother the concert goers. Pictures / Video were just about impossible because of the lights Sugarland used that light up the crowd. They announced it was a audience involved concert. People were given a glow stick and a bottle of bubbles. When the bubble machine started people were to blow bubbles. Lots of them – fun. When a group of people came on stage with glow sticks the audience was waving them too. Security filled the aisles at one point and during the encore Jennifer and Christian each got in a bubble and rolled out over the audience. Best concert I have ever attended. They should be a good candidate for entertainer of the year.

    I really can't compare them to Carrie as Carrie has never given a concert in Minnesota. I don’t think Carrie could get a Minnesota crowd to stand. Security seems to spend a lot of time pushing people back at Carrie concerts and monitoring cameras. Ridicules. Carrie needs to do a better job of communicating to security.

    I love Carrie – I just think Sugarland puts on a better concert.

    Thanks..I actually went to the concert last night. It was AWESOME. And we got to go to the very front, in front of the stage. Our seats were at the back, so it was amazing to see them soo close up....I love sugarland. Billy Currington was great too.

    Glad to see you back!

    My mouth is going fine, not as much pain, but on Tuesday i'm going back fora check-up and they are probably are gonna mess around with it.

    We plan on going to England and Italy to visit some friends. we don't have the dates set yet but it will be before 8/5 cause i have to register for school on that day. hope everything goes all right with your cancer!
